Last weekend, we were in Paris to meet our distributor, Thierry Roland Garros, with our wonderful Team. As you know it, it is very important for us to share our culture and our gastronomy with our neighbor and who is the best neighbor than the cheese country ? In France, it exists an important culture of cheese that spanish people cannot really understand. They LOVE it ! We can think that it is imposible to sell a foreign cheese because they have so many varieties in this country but we love challenges !

We have been working with Thierry for few months and he invited us last weekend to present our sheep cheese to their clients. We want to promote the Zamorano sheep cheese. The sheep cheese is not really well-known cheese in France, they use to prefer the cow cheese and we are here to change this situation 🙂

Then, we have visited the very famous Fromagerie Barthélémy of Madam Nicole Barthélémy. For 44 years, this Fromagerie provide Paris, Matignon and l’Elysée. We discovered the paradise of cheese thanks to this incredible woman. A very good moment that we will not forget.

Saturday, we proposed a tasting of our products to the Fromagerie Barthélémy of Odile and Gilles Goursat in Fontainebleau. If this name remind you something it is normal ! They are the nephews of Nicole Barthélémy. Cheese is a family story and La Antigua are not gonna contradict that. It was the meeting of the 5th generation of spanish shepherd and of a french cheesemonger family. As Odile said to us, they love to work with little producers like us and really want to sell cheeses elaborated with raw milk. That is perfect, our cheese are made with raw sheep milk. We have decided to organise a #MesaLaAntigua to make known our cheeses and to share our secrets with their clients. It was so successful. It is very important for customers to meet the producers and of course to taste our very famous cheese flowers…

Sunday 18th of October.
This last day in Paris was also very interesting because we participated to the Fontainebleau market with Odile and Gilles. Fontainebleau is a beautiful city and its castle is just INCREDIBLE. The market is a place of meeting and we can share with people and trust us, we love to speak with people. With Agnès, daughter of Odile and Gilles and Frédérick, the great sales assistant, we have presented our new babies to the customers. La Antigua Sheep Cheese with Brandy, the Lactose-Free Cheese and the Truffle Sheep Cheese have new fans. It is really great for us to see this culture of cheese. It does not exist in Spain but we want to create it.
