Thirty years ago, two men united by a dream and their passion for the rural world decided to embark on a path that would transform the livestock farming sector. Jesús Cruz and Fernando, both with deep roots in families dedicated to sheepherding and sheep, began to write the story of Gestión Agro Ganadera (GAG). But their meeting was not by chance: they met while working at Queserías Ortiz, where Jesús worked as an accountant and Fernando as a salesman. It was there that the idea of creating something revolutionary of their own germinated.
The Beginnings: Fear and Hope on Wheels
With a single truck and a clear vision, Jesus and Fernando founded GAG. Their first order was to transport milk to Portugal, but what might seem simple was full of challenges. They barely managed to fill a third of the truck, and uncertainty was a constant on every trip. However, their commitment to quality and their determination to grow pushed them to overcome those early obstacles.
“The fear was present in every kilometer, but also the illusion of knowing that we were building something big,” recalls Fernando.
From Portugal to All Europe
Today, what began as a modest milk transport has become a key logistics center in the sector. GAG transports sheep’s milk not only throughout Spain, but also to several European countries, consolidating its position as a benchmark in dairy logistics. Its trucks, which travel thousands of kilometers daily, carry not only milk, but also the legacy of effort and tradition of Jesús and Fernando.
Enduring Values
Since its inception, GAG has been guided by core values:
- Quality service, ensuring that each liter of milk arrives in the best conditions.
- Commitment to the agricultural and livestock sector, supporting local producers.
- Innovation, adapting to the needs of a constantly changing market.
These values, together with a deep respect for the rural environment, have been the basis of GAG’s success.
Key Milestones in 30 Years
Throughout these three decades, the company has achieved important milestones:
- Expansion of its truck fleet to cover international routes.
- Creation of alliances with producers and dairies throughout Europe.
- Consolidation of its position as a leader in sheep’s milk logistics.
Looking to the Future
For Jesús and Fernando, these 30 years are not only a reason to celebrate, but also an opportunity to continue growing. With an eye on sustainability and constant improvement, GAG is preparing to face the challenges of the future without losing sight of its roots.
“We’ve come a long way, but the best is yet to come,” Jesus says with a smile.
Thanks to a Great Team
This trip would not have been possible without the efforts of everyone at GAG. From the drivers who drive across Europe to the administrative team that manages every detail, each person has been key to the company’s success.
Three Decades of Effort and Passion
Today we celebrate not only 30 years of history, but also the spirit of self-improvement that characterizes Jesús, Fernando and the entire GAG team. Thank you for being part of this journey and for trusting us.
