Quesería La Antigua at Fromago Cheese Experience 2024
We are excited to announce the Fromago program that from September 12 to 15, Quesería La Antigua will participate in Fromago Cheese Experience, an event that brings together the best cheese producers internationally. This year, the fair will be held in Zamora, in the Plaza de la Constitución, and we would like to invite you to join us in this unmissable event for all cheese lovers.
The Fromago Cheese Experience fair has established itself as one of the most important events in the cheese sector, where tradition and innovation meet to offer a unique experience. In addition to being a showcase for high quality products, the fair is an ideal space for the exchange of ideas, learning and establishing new business relationships. And, as always, Quesería La Antigua will be there to offer the best of our know-how.
One of the highlights of our participation is the Fromago program, which is packed with exciting activities. This year, we have prepared a series of events that combine teaching, tasting and participation in key activities within the world of cheese. We want you to be part of this experience!
Our program at Fromago 2024
Below, we share with you the Fromago program in which we will be present, with activities that you can’t miss.
Thursday, September 12th
The first day of the fair will be intense:
- 11:00 am: We attended the official opening of the fair in the Plaza de la Constitución. An exciting moment in which the starting signal will be given to this great celebration of cheese.
- 10:00 to 13:00: Meanwhile, our colleagues Lorena and Enrique will be at the Ramos Carrión Theater, participating in business meetings with national and international buyers. It is a perfect opportunity to expand our relationships and open new markets.
- 13:00: We will participate in a round table discussion entitled “The national and international sale of cheese”, where our colleague Antonio Elbar will share his experience. This event will take place in the Tent of the Cathedral Square.
- 17:00: Luis Miguel Rueda will compete in the “Best Master/Maestra Fromelier of Spain” competition, an exciting event that will take place in the Plaza de Viriato, Parador de Zamora.
Friday, September 13th
The second day of the Fromago program includes both innovation and tradition:
- 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.: We continue with business meetings at the Ramos Carrión Theater, where Lorena and Enrique will be representing Quesería La Antigua.
- 12:30 p.m.: We present something very special: “Revolutionizing Tradition: La Antigua Cheese Factory and the Metaverse”, an innovative talk that will take place in the Tent of Claudio Moyano Square.
- 1:30 p.m.: Our master cheese tuner, Luis Miguel Rueda, will participate in a round table discussion on cheese tuning at the Mirador del Troncoso.
- 17:30: Do not miss the presentation of Slow Food Alimentos del Camino, in which we are involved. It will be in the Plaza de La Marina.
- 5:30 pm: We will also open an impressive 48-month-old parmesan from Quesoteca Cuevas at Plaza Claudio Moyano, with our expert Luis Miguel Rueda.
- 18:00 hours: We arrive at one of the most awaited moments: “La Antigua Educa”, where together with Elena and Rebeca, we will teach how to make cheese in the Tent of the Plaza Constitución.
- 19:00: We will end the day with a pairing of La Antigua cheeses and Mica beers at the Mirador del Troncoso, an exclusive event that promises to be a great success.
Saturday, September 14th
On Saturday we continue with more activities within the Fromago program:
- 11:30 a.m.: We will attend a round table on “Cheeses with D.O.P. and I.G.P. seal” at the Plaza de Viriato, with the participation of Jesús Cruz, president of the D.O.
- 12:30 pm: Again, we will offer the educational activity“La Antigua Educa“, in which our visitors can learn how to make cheese with Elena and Rebeca.
- 18:00 hours: Our designer Javier Garduño will talk about “The design also present in the cheese factories” in the Plaza de Viriato.
- 19:00 hours: We will end the day with a great tasting of Zamorano cheese and its harmonies in the Cathedral Square.
Sunday, September 15
The last day of the Fromago program will close with a flourish:
- 18:00 hours: A last chance to participate in“La Antigua Educa“, where Elena and Rebeca will teach how to make cheese in the Tent of the Plaza Constitución.
