Last Wednesday, June 28th, part of the Gestión Agro Ganadera team went to Zamora, to the Ramos Carrión Theater, we don’t know if we were more nervous than excited or vice versa, because for us this Vulcano award we have received has been very special. And it has been special for many reasons, including that it has been the first award we have received in our land, Zamora, and is that although we are from Salamanca, we have the “broken heart” that would say the song with our Zamorano cheese from Fuentesaúco.
The Chamber of Commerce once again rewarded commercial and industrial activity and dedication to the business world by entrepreneurs and their collaborators through the Mercury and Vulcan awards, which this year celebrated their thirtieth anniversary since they were created in 1987.
The Mercurio award, the merchant award, went to La Madrileña, who this year also celebrated 135 years of work and 5 generations of the same family running this business. At the awards ceremony we were able to learn about their great work both in the world of bicycles and accessories for the children’s world. We would like to congratulate you once again for continuing to work hard day after day.
The Vulcano AwardThe Industrialist of the Year Award, as we have already mentioned, has been for us, for the entire team of Gestión AgroGanadera, from the truck drivers who transport the milkfactory workers, office workers, managers, and above all for Jesus Cruz y Fernando FregenedaWe have been fighting for many years for a better future for them and for our families.
First and second generation working to value the work of our parents and grandparents, shepherds who unknowingly help us every day to fight for what they unknowingly started. From here we cannot be more grateful to all of you who are part of GAG and “LA ANTIGUA” in one way or another.
In addition, José Antonio Rodríguez, from Talleres USE de Villafáfila, has been awarded the medal for Business Dedication, while the former managing director of Gaza, who left his position a few weeks ago, José Luis Calvo has been awarded the medal for Loyalty to the Company. Our congratulations to them as well.
As you can read a night full of emotions and gratitude, and among them we did not want to forget to thank the Chamber of Commerce of Zamora for their confidence in us and show it to us with this award.
