As most of you already know, in Gestion Agro Ganadera, we are dedicated to the transport of raw milk, in this case sheep’s milk, throughout Europe. Therefore, we are particularly interested in making this product known and in particular all its properties and benefits.
Lately, the dairy sector is not going through its best moments, with falling prices, milk being dumped in the cities, farmers who have had to abandon their work, and a special incidence in depreciating this healthy and, above all, natural product.
To know what we are talking about, raw milk is milk as it is milked on the farm without being subjected to any type of heat treatment, so it retains all the natural properties that this product possesses.

And why do we celebrate this day? Because we have to value what is ours! 65% of the raw sheep’s milk produced in Spain is produced in Castilla y Leon, for this reason and also because of our location it is our way of life.
This day highlights the value of cheeses made in an artisanal way, as they were made in the past, with milk fresh from the sheep, always complying with all regulations and health requirements and without losing those flavors that make us go back in time and remember other times when without the large food chains promoting mass production endangered these gastronomic jewels.
It is worth mentioning that this recognition is worldwide, not only in Spain, so we want to emphasize the importance of raising awareness about this issue that increasingly affects more dairy companies and farmers.
If you want to celebrate, several Spanish cities will be holding events full of cheese made from raw milk. We, from our factory of collection and elaboration of this type of cheese, Quesería La Antigua de Fuentesauco, are waiting for you in Salamanca to give our cheeses the importance they deserve.
