We have barely started the summer and we are already working to give it the end it deserves. Fromago 2024 will return to the city of Zamora from September 12-15, 2024, and of course La Antigua will return as well. We could not miss this appointment, and take our cheese to the cheese capital of the world.
This year also with a new project, Quesoteca Cuevas, which encompasses under its name different cheeses and traditions.
Fromago 2024 in numbers
Novelties and many activities to offer in four days of fair that will host more than 300 stands and nearly 200 exhibitors with approximately 1700 cheeses from around the world. And not counting in these figures all the extra spaces, such as cheese tunnels, taverns, information points, workshops, lectures…
The 81% of these points are cheese producers and the rest we can also enjoy sausages, dried fruits, wool, honey or wines among other products. All of them from the producer to the consumer.
Switzerland, Italy, France and Portugal are some of the places of origin of the exhibitors for this event that covers both the professional level of the sector, enhancing synergies and sales among themselves, as well as the personal level of the consumer, who will be able to obtain exclusive products from the producers themselves, learn about their history and enjoy the sector.
Sara Fregeneda, as president of the International School of Dairy Industries, part of the organization, is sure that this edition will be a success because of the reception of the public in the previous celebration of the fair, as well as the desire that Zamoranos are already showing to return to live a few days in which the city smells and tastes like cheese.
This morning was the presentation of Fromago 2024, where we have already been able to know the best kept secrets of the new edition.
A speech that starts emotional, where to boast of Zamora in so many important writings of our literature, and followed by the recognition of the work of a whole year to get Fromago, as well as thanks to the institutions and companies that support and fight for our city and sector.
What’s new in Fromago 2024
Some of the novelties will be a total of 8 stages, where you can enjoy concerts and cultural performances, 3 cheese tunnels, 8 taverns and two gastronomic spaces.
During the fair, on the 13th, the Cincho 2024 Awards will be presented at the Ramos Carrión Theater.
An important professional part is added to this meeting, where thanks to the Chamber of Commerce of Zamora, together with the ICE (Institute of Business Competitiveness) of the Junta de Castilla y León, we will have 37 international buyers who will meet with the nearly 50 companies already registered. And we expect to have domestic buyers as well.
Cooperatives and Trade and Hospitality Campaigns are also rowing in favor of Fromago, as well as Cobadu, Gaza, The Consortium for the Promotion of Sheep. So how Zamora 10, Azehos and Azeco that supported by the Diputación de Zamora has already launched “Fromago Commerce and Bar Fest” the festival of trade and hospitality where the prize will be the weight of the winner converted into cheese.
And by the way, if you have a business, don’t hesitate to participate in the Shop Window Contest and you can win a double ticket for the cheese tunnels.
One of the most fun parts, the mascot.
Fromago will have a mascot that, for the moment unnamed, we are sure will be the soul of the fair, especially in the eyes of the little ones. And if you want to participate in the choice of its name, you can do it through Fromago’s social networks.
And finally, a mention to all the people from Zamora who made themselves available to the organization to help, and from where a chain of volunteers was born, which just a few weeks ago was launched from the Fromago website and already has almost 100 people willing to be part of this second edition.
Functions such as control and assistance in parking lots, delivery of materials and service to exhibitors, visitor information and capacity control in the activities to be carried out.
These tasks will undoubtedly make the fair a safer and more enjoyable place for everyone.
