We tell you a little secret: the Tormes and Guadalquivir rivers are already brothers since May 28th. Thanks to Jamones Julián Martín and the Sociedad de Carreras de Caballos de Sanlúcar de Barrameda and, of course, with our presence, it has been possible.
Almost fifty people, among them María Luisa and Julián Martín, Goyo, Rafa, Jesús, Fernando, Sara… attended the baptism of the Tormes from the Roman bridge of Salamanca with water from the Guadalquivir, manzanilla Barbadillo Wineries and sand of the beaches of Sanlúcar, just where the races that make them famous end.
Goyo and Maria Luisa have addressed some beautiful words before making this private but very heartfelt and beautiful twinning baptism between Salamanca and Sanlúcar, Castile and Andalusia, Tormes and Guadalquivir.
What began with the official presentation of the Sanlúcar races in Guijuelo has continued with this intimate and almost secret act that demonstrates that great things begin with the smallest ones.
An example is us, La Antigua, we are small, but you make us very big when you twin with our cheeses.
By the way, you can see the video of the moment on the Facebook of Quesería La Antigua de Fuentesaúco. How could we miss this little secret, this great act.
