Cheese 2023 is the leading international event dedicated to artisanal cheeses and dairy products. Organized jointly by Slow Food and the City of Bra, this fourteenth edition will be held in the city of Bra, Italy, from September 15 to 18, 2023.
The Quesería La Antigua team will not miss this appointment, we will bring the most attractive cheeses so that no one is left without tasting our quality and affection deposited in each of our sheep cheeses.
THE FLAVOR OF THE MEADOWS, THE SLOGAN OF CHEESE 2023
The theme of this year’s edition will be “The taste of meadows“, highlighting the importance of pastures and grass as the true origin of all cheese. The healthiest and tastiest cheeses come from pasture-raised animals, and this philosophy will be reflected at the fair. Visitors will have the opportunity to discover a wide variety of cheeses and local specialties, from Gorgonzola and Grana Padano from Lombardy to Pecorino Siciliano and Mozzarella di Bufala Campana from southern Italy, but also other international cheeses.
GLOBAL EXHIBITORS AT CHEESE
More than 150 Italian exhibitors will be present at this culinary adventure. From shepherds and small family cheese dairies to large companies and refiners, each will bring their unique essence and flavors. Visitors will be able to taste emblematic cheeses such as Parmigiano-Reggiano, Castelmagno, Pecorino and many others. In addition, there will be opportunities to participate in tasting workshops and discover the secrets behind these gastronomic treasures.
However, not only Italian national brands attend the fair, but also international exhibitors from Spain, Holland, France, United Kingdom, Ireland, Norway, Switzerland and Portugal. With this you will achieve a great variety of cheeses to suit all tastes and flavors and no one will be left without tasting a good cheese!
OUTSTANDING EVENTS
Some of the featured events at Cheese 2023 will be:
- Pasta, raw sheep’s milk cheese and magic! → Creatori di Eccellenza’s artisan chefs present ideas for pasta dishes paired with raw sheep’s milk cheese.
- From meadow to cheese: The Alps from France to Italy→ In this Taste Workshop we savor all the biodiversity of the Alps. Some of the cheeses present in this workshop are:
- Bleu de Queyras, a sharp cheese with blue veins made with raw milk from Tarine and Abondance cows,
- Toma (also known as Sora), an irregular square-shaped cheese made with milk from Brigasca, a sheep breed found in Piedmont, Liguria and Provence.
- Intense Beaufort, AOC (Appellation d’Origine Contrôlée) Pressed cow’s milk cheese.
- The Spanish forests, with Marc Ribas and Ramats de Foc→ The first dinner at Cheese takes us to explore Spain and its forests, hand in hand with a Michelin-starred chef and a project working in silvopastoralism, both convinced that a forest without animals is a dead forest.
- France, Italy and Spain: a journey through Triple A wines and raw milk cheeses→. Six Triple A wines and sensational paired raw milk cheeses, exploring the products of three of the world’s leading wine and cheese making nations.

We attended this fair because we share the values they bring, the love for the countryside and the good treatment that must be given to the animals, both for their welfare and to improve the quality of the raw material we use to make our cheeses.
