Hello, cheese lovers! Here we are, thinking about everything we experienced yesterday at the “VII Congreso Cocina con Queso y Humor” that took place at the Palacio de Congresos in Salamanca. From the moment the doors of the Palacio de Congresos opened, it was clear that we were about to live an amazing experience. The“VII Congreso Cocina con Queso y Humor” was much more than a gastronomic event; it was a journey into the world of sheep cheese and culinary creativity. Here, cooking became art and even bordered on the magical.
One of the most exciting moments of the day was the presentation of awards in honor of the herders and milkmen.
- Traditional Shepherd awarded to the OVINO CASACO livestock.
- New Shepherds for the CARRO SAT livestock farm.
- Dairyman Commitment Award to Sebastián Moreno, Antonio Moreno and Mateo Ortego.
- Special Cobadu Award , our main partner, to OVIRONCE.
These awards highlighted the importance of fundamental, real and necessary work.
We had the tears about to come out because of how emotional the awards ceremony was being when Jazmin Abuín arrived and of course, she made us cry, but from laughter. It’s awesome!
Fernando Fregeneda and Jesús Cruz, founders of La Antiguashone on stage, attracting all eyes. The way they expressed themselves and the way they touched the hearts of the audience with their words was one of the most beautiful moments of the congress. It is incredible to see in their eyes and feel in their words the effort, dedication and love they have put into believing and growing with their company. So much so that even Óscar Castellanosthe presenter of the gala, shared some moving words with them, recognizing all that they had achieved and the path that was about to be opened with the arrival of

The guest chefs were not far behind and treated us to some tapas, which with each bite an explosion of flavor made us appreciate the sheep cheese even more, or so all the guests told us. After the event, at the cocktail party, we shared anecdotes, experiences and plans for the future. The atmosphere was so pleasant and close that even the sheep would have felt at home.
In summary, the “VII Congreso Cocina con Queso y Humor” was an unforgettable day that brought together sheep cheese lovers, talented chefs, industry experts and lovers of humor… It was a celebration that we are sure left a mark in the memory and hearts of all of us who participated in it.
