A few days ago we were visited by some young chefs, who will be the future of our gastronomy. They are taking a training course created by the Spanish Institute for Foreign Trade (ICEX).
They will be in our country for 8 months and the course has chefs from very different nationalities, such as Switzerland, Germany, Denmark, Russia, United States, Canada, Brazil, Mexico, China, Japan, Australia, India and Singapore. This ensures a wealth of custom, which will help all of them to continue their evolution in the world of cooking.
In the first stage of the course they have been taking an intensive Spanish course in the city of Salamanca, from where they traveled to visit us and get to know our factory.
Afterwards, they will do a practical part in some of the most prestigious restaurants in our country, such as Arzak, El Celler de Can Roca, Calima, Can Fabes, Echaurren, Adolfo, La Terraza del Casino, Casa Solla or Akelarre. A variety of restaurants that are endorsed by today’s top chefs, and that will introduce you to the highest Spanish gastronomy.
Finally, a competition will be held among them to demonstrate the knowledge they have acquired in the kitchen, and they will be evaluated by important culinary critics, prestigious chefs and institutions linked to the gastronomic world.
They visited the facilities and learned about the elaboration process of the different cheeses, in addition to a tasting of the different cheeses, where they were impressed with the “Caprichos de la pastora” cake.
