Healthy
Although it may seem incredible, or at least it seems so to me, there are those who are not very aware of the properties and benefits of cheese for our health; that in addition to being very tasty, it is healthy. Don’t you believe it?
There are several times when we have talked about the benefits and properties of cheese, not long ago in the blog of Quesería La Antigua we addressed a topic that is fashionable; realfooding and in particular, the cheese for realfooders.
What does it mean? It is a movement that aims to eat real food; what I have eaten in my mother’s house all my life; grandmothers’ food.
Variety of cheese
We have considered ourselves to be so modern, that we have even made up products, that now, we are beginning to realize that they are not at all beneficial to our health.
The cheese fits into these products, as long as it is only made with four ingredients. The contribution of calcium and different vitamins makes this milk derivative considered very healthy.
Do we talk about some of the cheeses in detail?
Panela cheese
Panela cheese is a cheese that is not exposed to any maturing process, which makes it containing a higher percentage of water, and a lower amount of fat (less than 10% of its weight approximately). It is recommended for people who have hypertension, cardiovascular disease, high cholesterol or diabetes.
Parmesan, it’s known by everyone. It has a unique flavor and aroma, this type of cheese improves digestion and intestinal health.
Cottage, is a fresh cheese low in sodium, a source of protein. Suitable for people who have a diet to take care of hypertension.
Feta, of Greek origin, made from goat’s and sheep’s milk. Low in calories and fat; it is also a source of vitamin B, calcium and phosphorus. The most common way to eat it is in salads.
Soft cheese with pink pepper, without lactose
La Antigua soft cheese, a cheese made from sheep’s milk, its low curing makes it possible to have it for breakfast with toast bread.
Healthy are also those cheeses that allow people who are intolerant to lactose to enjoy it. Some of the cheeses we can find in the market without lactose are : lactose free aged cheese and lactose free soft cheese with pink pepper.
Do you need anything else to enjoy the cheese? The only problem I have is choosing which to eat.
